America’s #1 Male Mental Health Advocate
Michael Stegall is in his 40s and he has dealt with many insecurities and adversities in his life. He is a male mental health advocate, speaker, and minister, transforming himself into who God created him to be. Michael started his journey as a preacher 20 years ago as a youth minister. He has been a Pastor and a manager/ coordinator for a company. This makes him an authority in leadership in both the religious world and corporate.
Michael didn’t have any confidence in himself, so there were many things he wanted to do but didn’t even try. He dealt with so many fears and insecurities that he didn’t have any self-esteem or self-confidence. Michael felt inadequate of everybody around him and that lead him to have little self-worth. The sad part was, he had many excuses for why nothing was his fault. Stories he told himself to make him feel ok about staying right where he was in life. The stories took all his responsibilities off him and placed them on other people, so he thought. Even when he had thoughts of suicide nothing changed how he felt about himself. Until one day, his wife made him confront himself. Made him hold himself accountable for his own actions. It took him over a year to start taking control of all his insecurities. Once he began to overcome his limited thoughts about himself that’s when he started to grow into the leader God created him to be.
Michael is now an advocate for male mental health. Because he endured the pain, the insecurities, the fears, and overcome them all is what made him want to help other men. This leads him to interested in how the brain works, neuroscience. He worked in a halfway house for adult men. He is currently working in a boy’s home, where he is receiving ongoing training on how to deal with trauma victims. He uses his life experience, neuroscience, trauma training, combined with the Word of God to empower men to become leaders in what God created them to be.
Now, he has a threefold mission in life.
Vision— Is to see male mental health normalized.
Purpose— Inspire and develop strong men for God’s Kingdom.
Goal—Empower young men to control their fears, build self-esteem, grow in
confidence, and develop a leadership attitude.
